Emma & Graeme’s Wedding Flowers – Englemere, Ascot, Berkshire

By FlowerMonkey, Nov 28 2013 01:00AM

A few weeks back I had the pleasure of creating the wedding flowers for Emma & Graeme as they got married at Englemere in Ascot, Berkshire. It was a doubly special order for me as it was not only an absolutely beautiful wedding, but it will also be my last chance to decorate and work at Englemere, as they have now shut the venue to weddings.

Emma & Graeme had a soft pink and ivory colour scheme, using birdcages and candles throughout the decorations. Their floral choices were: cream & pink roses; such as Avalanche, Avalanche Candy, Avalanche Sorbet and Norma Jeane. Bombastic, Hydrangeas, White gypsophila, Astilbe, Freesia, Lissianthus, Eucalyptus & Pittosporum

For the bouquets, Emma had a mixture of flowers with pinks, creams and greenery, while the bridesmaids had elegant avalanche roses and white gypsophila bouquets. The button holes and corsages complimented the bouquets beautifully with a matching pink rose for the groom and cream arrangements for everyone else.

For the table decorations, Emma and Graeme couldn’t decide between high or low arrangements…so we alternated between high and low on each table. Half had high candelabras topped with stunning flowers, while the other half had birdcages to match their theme, filled with flowers and a candle.

We loved creating this truly unique and spectacular table plan. Using a wooden frame which holds buckets, filled with flowers, it created the perfect backdrop to hang their ‘Las Vegas’ themed Tags on. This is available to hire from FlowerMonkey. Similar luggage tags can be created by Tea and Doilies

One of my favourite parts of their reception was the ‘Sweetheart table’. A table for 2! It gave them a bit of time just to take in the day and spend time with each other. We decorated it with jars filled with flowers, rose petals and silver tubs

We also had the pleasure of meeting and working with two fantastic suppliers at this wedding; Chris from Chris Powell Photography and Leslie from Leslie’s Cakes. You can see the fabulous photos that Chris captured from the day. He was so professional and friendly and the photos really reflect Emma’s Vintage Theme. Leslie created the most beautiful wedding cake, which was displayed in a birdcage. Her skills were amazing and she is such a lovely lady. We would highly recommend both suppliers for your big day!

All the props viewed in this wedding can be hired from FlowerMonkey, from the Candelabras to the table plans.
