Vicky and Scott's Orange and Purple Wedding - Rhinefield House
By FlowerMonkey, Apr 15 2014 04:43PM
At the end of March, I was lucky enough to provide flowers for the loveliest couple, Vicky and Scott. They got married at the stunning Rhinefield House, which is set in the middle of the new forest!
The couple had an orange and purple colour scheme which included the following flower pallette: Purple Anemone, Purple & Orange Freesias, Muscari, Purple & Orange Ranunculas, Orange roses, Orange & Purple Tulips, Veronica, Eucalyptus, Bear grass.
The Bridal Bouquet
Vicky decided on an over the arm bouquet which was a first for us. It took us a bit of adjusting and modelling on ourselfs to get the drop right but we loved the outcome, and so did Vicky.
Vicky had three bridesmaids and they had hand-tied bouquets, packed with all the gorgeous colours.
Scott had a Purple coloured button hole and everyone else had orange ones. The mothers had a corsage with white roses to compliment the orange tulips.
We were so excited to complete Vicky and Scotts centerpieces. Each table had a tall glass vase filled with willow. We then hand stuck (only a few burns from the glue gun! ) purple and orange blossoms on the branches. To finish the look, lanterns were hung on the willow
To follow the colour theme through out the day we decorated the beautiful ceremony room with lanterns, candles and jam jars filled with flowers.
Our favourite other touches
We thought the bride looked absolutely beautiful on the day and was complimented by the stunning surroundings of Rhinefield house. The Cake was a 4 tier chocolate fudge cake decorated in raffia and hand crafted purple anenomes. As a surprise the groom arranged for a Scottish Piper (the bride is scottish) and the sound gave me goosebumps.
After the couple had arranged all the flowers for the day, Scott sneakily rung us back to order a beautiful bridal bouquet to be delivered on the morning of the wedding. He included a hand written letter. (I know so romantic! )
