Congratulations if you are looking forward to a wedding in 2017. The style of your wedding flowers will very much depend on the style of your wedding, but we think the trends for 2017 will continue along the natural. organic wedding themes we saw in 2016. Pastel colours and neutral colour palettes will continue to be popular in 2017. However, bold statements and vibrant colours will also have their place.

Woodland weddings, English country garden, and boho weddings will be popular for the year ahead, but we think 2017 will be all about adding the personal touch to your wedding by adding an injection of your personality.

We're certain that many brides will opt for seasonal flowers and we will see gorgeous bouquets and floral arrangements changing throughout the seasons. A classic late Spring bouquet could include peonies, sweetpeas, delphinium and lavender, think English Country Garden. A vibrant Summer bouquet could include sunflowers, dahlias, cosmos and roses, adding colour and scents to complement long, lazy days in the sun. For Autumn bouquets, consider thistles, scabiosas, romanatic ranunculas and chocolate cosmos. Winter weddings could include berries, amaranthus, anemone, and eucalyptus. Flowers that are available all year round to enhance your bouquet include Queen's Lace also known as ammi, succulents, astilbe and lisianthus.

For personal touches, try tying the stems with a ribbon, fabric or lace and even adding a brooch, or small piece of vintage jewellery. Flowers will also be used in different ways this year, turning signs made from wooden palettes into eye-catching decorations, again giving your wedding that personal touch.

Each bride wants to create a unique, special event and a day to remember. Unusual centrepieces are a great way to achieve this. Pretty planted pots and wooden troughs are perfect for the Spring. Light Summer evenings can be enhanced with jam jars filled with fresh cut flowers. For Autumnal barn weddings, imagine bark covered vases, moss and candles. Add twinkling fairy lights for a touch of magic to your winter flowers. Flowers can also be used to make a real impact from large blossom trees for the wow factor to beautiful floral arches framing an entrance.

Natural bouquets were popular in 2016 and messy chic bouquets are set to be on trend for the year ahead. Think wild flowers with lots of greenery, different textures and nothing too formal. For those looking to achieve a natural look lush foliage helps to bring the great outdoors to any floral arrangement. Greenary in bouquets will continue to be popular in 2017 from flowy grasses, to textured foliage.

Whether for yourself, your bridesmaids, flower girl or even a pet who's set to make a guest appearance, floral crowns/garlands will also be big this year. We LOVE this trend and are looking forward to creating some gorgeous floral crowns this year.

Whatever style you chose for your 2017 wedding, we'd love to help and we have buckets of ideas and enthusiasm, so please get in touch. http://flowermonkey.co.uk/get-in-touch
